Cheers to tea, the lifeblood of Maara!

As we commemorate International Tea Day 2024, we celebrate the rich heritage of tea farming and its profound impact on communities worldwide. HopeCore's offices are in the upper part of Maara Sub-County. Tea farming is a pillar of economic stability and pride for many residents.

At HopeCore, we believe in the transformative power of community-driven initiatives, and the story of the Kiarugu Bodaboda Operators Self-Help Group is a shining example of what can be achieved when determined individuals come together. In April 2022, we funded the Kiarugu Filling Station project, driven by 25 enterprising young entrepreneurs from this dynamic self-help group.
