To mark World Children's Day, we at HopeCore take a moment to reflect on our dedication to the well-being of children in the communities we serve. Our comprehensive strategy for sustainable, positive change addresses diverse needs through our public health initiatives and micro-enterprise programs.

The Community Health Promoters (CHPs) promote child health and well-being with household visits and community engagement. CHPs conduct various activities, including growth monitoring, immunization defaulters follow-up, and nutritional education.

HopeCore fosters a healthy environment for children with vision screenings and health clubs in the schools. Since 2020, we've conducted vision screenings for over 97,926 children and educated more than 504,213 students on various health topics since 2014. Health education instills lifelong habits that promote well-being from an early age.

In our rural communities, we provide accessible and affordable maternal and child health services through our Village-Based Maternal Child Health Clinics. Since 2016, over 2,010 clinics have been conducted in Mwimbi, Muthambi, and Tharaka South, meeting the health needs of pregnant women and under-five children. We've treated 30,093 children under 5 years and conducted growth monitoring for 41,337 children.

Through the Micro Enterprise program, we are dedicated to economic empowerment as a fundamental aspect of our mission. By supporting entrepreneurship and providing financial assistance to 368 Self Help Groups, we have positively impacted the lives of 28,994 individuals. The program, which has disbursed USD 1,755,125.40, breaks the cycle of poverty, leading to improved living standards and educational opportunities. This transformative approach benefits the economic landscape and creates a ripple effect, directly improving children's lives by providing enhanced educational opportunities and access to basic needs. The increased income empowers families to afford necessities such as food, shelter, and clothing, fostering a nurturing environment for children's development with improved access to healthcare and education.

We are committed to expanding our reach, advocating for children's rights, and fostering environments where they can flourish. Collaborative efforts with communities, stakeholders, and supporters envision a future where every child can access quality healthcare, education, and the opportunity to realize their full potential.

On World Children's Day, join us in working to ensure a healthy, happy, and fulfilling life becomes a reality for every child. Make a lasting impact to shape a better tomorrow!
