Lessons Learned
The battles of life are not won on the battlefield but in the mind first. A healthy mind gives birth to high self-worth and revelation of onwards-mental power as well as changes our mental perspectives. Poor self-concept is the product of an oppressed mind. To live a life full of liberty and productivity we ought to protect our minds and position ourselves at the place of growth, development, and maturation of ourselves.
Horace the famous poet said, “Wisdom is not wisdom when it is derived from books alone”. Every Monday morning after our morning briefing, the HopeCore President/CEO shares a wisdom story. Many of these stories have an emphasis on happiness and the value of maturing and success is always noticed in all these stories. He has taught us that every new day brings with it a new way to make you better and strengthen you armoring you to face today with courage and tomorrow with a smile. Always eager to listen, non-judgemental, and emphatic Dr.Kajira has curved the dreams of many and supported them enthusiastically. He made me realize that in life one has to pursue what they need against all odds. Through his support, I have gained insight allowing me to face not just today’s troubles, storms, and challenges, but to unwrap opportunities wrapped in problems and always bear in mind that nothing comes easy. You have to sweat to reveal the truest essence of your character.
Decide that you will be successful and happy come what may, and good things will find you. The roadblocks are only minor obstacles along the way. No one has the mandate or the authorship to make you human. We are made in the perfection of liberty and wholeness. It is in the mind that we learn to lose, embrace defeat, and assimilate fear. These barriers and limitations are merely imaginary, and if we can win a battle in the mind, we can win it anywhere else. Do not lose yourself. Focus! Just because hurricanes are threatening to tear you apart does not mean this is the end of the road. Keep your focus while in every unfamiliar territory of life. Persist the temptation to get caught up in happenings, no matter how loud and distracting they are.
We are natural in our default state, sometimes even on autopilot, and enjoying the scenery and normality of life. But in such a mode of living very little gets achieved. You will never appreciate power beyond your power until more power than you have is demanded. Everyone carries in themselves the tenacity to become anything, but that elasticity can never be tested without stretching. However ugly it is, it’s there to make you better, not bitter. The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep you out but to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Brick walls are there to stop people who do not want something badly enough. My take is, when the doors are shut in our life you can feel jailed or housed. It’s your choice. A matter of perception.
Success involves applying more pressure against efforts. Success is not for a few of those who are designed to fail but for anyone who wants it. Build your capacity, dig your potential, stretch your performance, and exhaust your energy on constant personal development. Improve yourself, grow, and build your inner person until hurdles and challenges stand humble in your space. Excellence is not a competition between individual performances, it is an internal drive of subduing internal weakness further than you did yesterday. Even perfection has room for improvement.
Low moments are lovely moments, for until you go down you can never appreciate how high you can rise. That’s why no matter how dark the night is, morning is never delayed by the intensity of the darkness. Begin to see yourself on the other side of every imitation that has accosted you. Don’t forget that success is believing in the extra mile beyond failure.
