Every January, Dr. Mugambi, and Dr. Phil Rasori, Medical Director for VHI, take a group of interested people to visit village communities in the Chogoria/Murugi region and meet the beneficiaries of Project Hopecore. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be involved first hand in the Village HopeCore project.

Five days are spent on Safari, visiting well-known preserves such as Samburu, Lewa Downs, and Lake Nakuru, and three days are spent in the village.

The village portion includes a homestay with a Village HopeCore family, if desired.

Your level of invovement is up to you. For many, the opportunity to both experience a safari and to see the Village HopeCore project first-hand is fulfilling. One visitor had funded a group, and after meeting the women, decided to become very involved in fundraising back home, and is becoming a VHI board member. Another participant returned to the village to live and teach and assist with the program.

Dr. Rasori is a physician, accomplished tour leader, and photographer. He has led many small group tours, both in this region and in Papua, New Guinea.
