Village HopeCore's mission is to involve 25% of poverty stricken families (1000 family based micro-enterprises) within 5 years and then expand to other village communities.

The combination of business education, self-empowerment, micro-lending and community building is proving to promote human dignity, alleviate poverty and halt the spread of HIV/AIDS. VHI is cultivating a blossoming tree of liberty, justice and economic prosperity in Kenya and all of Africa.
The Future of Africa

Beyond Apathy and Despair

Village HopeCore International is a small, innovative non-profit currently working in Chogoria, Kenya to alleviate poverty through microlending with education and training.

Village HopeCore provides small loans at low interest rates to women and men to develop and improve self-sustaining businesses.

Money alone does not disrupt the cycle of poverty.
Village HopeCore provides:

business training
personal development
professional mentoring

In 2001, Village Hopecore received its first donation to fund a group of twelve women. Since then seven groups -- 84 business projects -- have been funded, and thus the lives of 84 poor families have been improved in a lasting way. Thirty more groups of 12 have formed, awaiting funding.
