Art Auction

In 2005 a group of 10 students from Sonoma Academy's Connections program held an art auction with donations from many of the county’s established artists, most of whom are members of ARTrails. A live auction by former Sonoma County supervisor Ernie Carpenter highlighted the evening. They raised $17,000!

The money they raised:
funded a 5th group, the Kaimenyi HopeCore/Sonoma Academy Women's Self - Help Group.
provided the renovation and rental of VHI’s first office in Chogoria
paid the salary for a full-time HIV/AIDS prevention nurse for 1 year
contributed toward the purchase of a vehicle to help transport the project members, who previosly had to travel the long distances to meetings and trainings on foot.
set aside $750 to help offset costs to edit the Village HopeCore documentary
